Facility Hire

St Philip's College is blessed with modern, well-equipped facilities listed below which are available for hire by the general public. (Restrictions do apply).

The Minnamurra Hall

The Minnamurra Hall is a multi-functional community hall. It has a flat timber floor and a stage making it suitable for theatrical touring productions, concerts, seminars, exhibitions, dances and low impact sport, e.g. gymnastics. The hall is relatively inexpensive to hire and there is ample parking available in the school car parks.

Fred McKay Centre

The Fred McKay Education Centre was designed as a memorial to the late Rev Dr Fred McKay. The functional spaces inside this building are designed as ‘pods’ linked to a central hub from which the building is administered. It is airconditioned and heated. Located under one roof are: 140 seat lecture theatre, two classrooms, kitchen and toilets.

Bruce Reid Centre

The Bruce Reid Sports Centre has three multi purpose courts enabling them to be compatible with all indoor sports. The main court is professional standard polished wood, and is used for all competitive basketball, netball and Volleyball matches. The other two courts are compatible to be used for a maximum of eight badminton, one volleyball, one tennis, two netball and two basketball at any time.

Cardio room / Gym

The gym (150m2) has all the equipment of a mainstream gym, such as; Squat Rack, Incline Leg Press, Bench Press, Double Cable machine, dumbells (ranging from 2.5KG - 50KG), barbells, benches, exercise balls and plastic weights as well as 3 treadmills.  Our Cardio Room (120m2) has 20 spin bikes and four rowing machines. Rock Wall

The wall has 14 ground anchors and 2 abseil lines. It meets all industry standards and has regular inspections to ensure so.

Swag Chapel

The construction of the rustic 'bush chapel' was completed thanks to the hands-on approach by staff, students and past students, as well as students who attended the Australasian Round Square Conference in April, 2006. Students dug footings, painted, moulded window fittings, moved boulders etc. The Swag Chapel is available for use by alumni and families only and has already been the venue for a naming ceremony, wedding and remembrance ceremony.

Food Technology Lab

A state of the art practical teaching room with 14 stations and an instructor's station situated at the front of the room - and offers extensive cooking facilities. There is also an adjoining FeedMeNow training restaurant which can seat up to 60 people.
