College Board and Governance

GOVERNANCE

St Philip's College is incorporated as a company limited known as St Philip's College Alice Springs.

The College Board meets at least eight times a year, and holds an annual retreat, to discuss strategic issues for the College and to monitor the implementation of the College Strategic Plan.

St Philip's College Board consists of between six and nine directors. Two of the directors are appointed by the Uniting Church. The Principal, who is in effect the CEO of the company, is not a director, but actively participates in all Board meetings. The Board is not a stakeholder representative body, rather it is a “skills-based” Board. The Business Manager acts as Company Secretary.

The Board of the College is appointed by the members of St Philip's College Alice Springs.

No members or directors are remunerated in any form for their services as members or directors.

St Philip's College Alice Springs is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
